The Partridge Family was a TV show that lasted from September 1970 to March 1974.  The series follows the lives of a fictional pop music band formed by the family, including Shirley (Shirley Jones), Keith (David Cassidy), Laurie (Susan Dey), and Danny (Danny Bonaduce). The family was loosely based on the real-life musical family the Cowsills, a popular band in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.  Unlike The Monkees, another fictional music show, none of the members of the cast played any music on the show or the album releases and originally only Shirley Jones sang. Initially, all the actors pretended to sing while listening to recordings by session musicians, who provided the real vocal and instrumental music attributed to the Partridge Family. However, after Cassidy demonstrated that he could sing, he was allowed to record his own vocal parts.

Believe it or not, The Partridge Family sold over 25 million records worldwide, including more than 3 million certified albums in the United States. Throughout the 1970s, the group released eight studio albums—five of which achieved Gold certification—and a highly successful greatest hits record.

Please note that the entire set is not to scale.Amplifiers illustrated are sold individually and not as a pair.  MINIATURE DRUM & GUITAR SET - THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY #1 do not come with basic Drum and Guitar set but can be added for increased visual impact at additional cost.  Please see my Store for listings that include the Drum & Guitar set and amplifiers.
